Constructed in 1896, this historic property was originally the Click & Sons General Mercantile. MBAJ Architecture was contacted prior to the purchase, to evaluate the property, located in downtown Elkin. The project included restoring the exterior in keeping with the original design, while the three-level, 14,000 sq ft interior was reconditioned with all new systems and now serves as the bank's primary operations center. The interior finishes were carefully selected to respect the period in which the facility was constructed. |
