The County purchased an abandoned four-story hospital originally constructed in 1929. This project entailed the renovation of the first floor to house several County offices--Health Department, Parole/Probation and a Sheriff’s station--as well as a courtroom and holding facility to serve the citizens in southern Iredell County. In addition to serving citizens more conveniently, this project served as an impetus for new growth and revitalization of the surrounding neighborhood. |
