Planning

Planning a high school involves many, many people. Gaston County Schools sought input from every department of secondary education, from instruction to transportation. As architects our job is to translate the District’s input into a design that will prepare students for the 21st century. The Board of Education and the Operation Committee have been involved throughout the process as stewards of the community resources and District’s mission.

A team of engineers and planners have added detail and clarity to the plans and over twenty review agencies (such as the State Fire Marshall’s Office) have reviewed their respective areas of concern to ensure adequacy.

Planning a high school involves many, many people but it is worth it to achieve a source of pride for the community and a place that inspires our future generations to learn.
